Ghana Baptist Convention.

Currently the Ghana Baptist Convention has approximately 1100 churches with membership population of over 65,000. About twenty percent of the Convention Churches have their own church auditorium where they worship. The remaining eighty percent of the churches worship in public or private classrooms, temporary sheds or structures, etc. The Convention has about 400 trained Ministers serving in the over 1100 churches. Presently, the Convention has two traditional training institutions for Ministers in Abuakwa - Ashanti and Tamale. Most ofthe Convention Churches are in deprived and rural areas and there's the need to plant more churches in the cities and urban areas to be able to mobilize more resources to help rural church planting work. Most of the Convention Churches are made up of youths and a lot of unempolyed people who need to be helped to become gainfully employed.

To enable the Convention to operate effectively, the country has been divided into four (4) Sectors which is made up of  thirty (30) local Associations as follows:

1. NORTHERN GHANA SECTOR comprises six local Associations namely, Tahima Baptist Association Tamale Baptist Association, Liberty Baptist Association, Nalerigu Baptist Association, Nakpanduri Baptist Associationand Bolgatanga Baptist Association. The Yendi and Wa Mission Fields are part of the Sector.

The Sector Head is Rev. Alfred Walter Afful, Pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Bolgatanga

2. MID-GHANA SECTOR comprises nine (9) local Association namely, Kumasi South-East Baptist Association, Kumasi South-West Baptist Association, Kumasi North Baptist Association, Kumasi West Baptist Association, Golden Gate Association, Adansi Baptist Association, Adom Baptist Association, Sunyani Baptist Association and Bethel Baptist Association.

The Sector Head is Rev. Ossei Mensa Sapon, Senior Pastor of New Tafo Baptist Church, Kumasi.

3. SOUTH-EAST GHANA SECTOR comprises five (6) local Associations namely, Accra Baptist Association, Tema - Dangme Baptist Association, Eastern Baptist Association, Klo Baptist Association, North Volta Baptist Association and South Volta Baptist Association.

The Sector Head is Rev. Kofi Annan, Senior Pastor of Hope Baptist Church Accra.

4. SOUTH-WEST GHANA SECTOR comprises six (6) local Associations namely,  Cape Coast Baptist Association, Winneba Baptist Association, Swedru Baptist Association, Sekondi-Takoradi Baptist Association, and Hope Baptist Association.
